SIPL Permanent Hair Reduction

Lasercool's effective Super Intense Pulsed Light (SIPL) permanent hair reduction process provides an overall reduction in body or facial hair for men and women alike. The light pulse process targets the site of hair production at the root of the follicle resulting in permanent hair reduction. Because body hair does not grow all at once, dormant hair follicles are not treated with modern permanent hair removal technologies. Four to eight treatments are usually what clients need to achieve satisfactory and permenant hair reduction.
The effects of treatment become noticeable 1-4 weeks after the treatment when affected hairs fall out. Some clients have a significant reduction after 1 treatment while others need 2-3 treatments before the results become significant.

Our Technique
With the development of modern intensed pulsed light technology, efficient and comfortable treatments are now available to permanently reduce hair using filtered light. Not only do you have less hair at the end of your series of treatments, but ingrown hairs also become a thing of the past.

This equipment is amongst the latest technology and is designed for effectiveness, comfort and speed of treatments. It is safe for use on darkly pigmented or tanned skin, and does not pose any UVA/UVB related risks.
The Treatment Process
After shaving the treatment area, light is pulsed over the treatment area. The light is absorbed by dark
pigment in the hairs – the hairs heat up and damage the follicles that surround them, while a patented
cooling system protects the skin. Depending on skin and hair types, a course of treatments (each
treatment being 6-12 weeks apart) will lead to an overall reduction of hair within the treatment area.
Some clients may need follow up treatments from 1-5 years after the completion of their treatments,
while other clients (with finer, lighter hair) may need minor touch up sessions every 3-4 months.
